The LanMaster 35 VoIP, PoE & Link Tester is ideal for installing and maintaining computer Local Area Networks (LANs) using Power over Ethernet (PoE). This instrument conducts power tests with actual loads. Loop resistance measurements quickly identify non-functional links and marginal conditions that can cause intermittent problems. When a powered device such as a VoIP phone, wireless access point or security camera is connected to the network, LanMaster 35 ensures it will operate properly. It also identifies 10/100/1000BaseTX link speed and duplex mode.
Conduct a power test with an actual load to verify the amount of power available
Identify speed / duplex modes for 10/100/1000baseTX links
Measure cable length (when not connected to active device) and transmit link activation signals for port identification
Transmit a tone signal that allows the cable to be traced
The LanMaster 35 identifies whether power is IEEE 802.3af compliant or a legacy configuration, such as Cisco Inline power, for correctly connecting powered devices. The unit measures Loop Resistance to quickly identify damaged cables and bad punchdowns that cause intermittent problems or equipment malfunction.
The LanMaster 35 provides Link speed and duplex mode testing capabilities for verifying connectivity of a powered or unpowered 10/100/1000BaseTX Link. The unit measures cable length and can be connected to a wall outlet to identify a connected port on a switch or hub. The LanMaster 35 is an essential tool for installing and maintaining networks that utilize the latest PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology.
Features
Every technician, service provider and installer can now afford to have a LanMaster 35. It is an essential tool for installing and maintaining networks that utilize the latest PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology.

Overview
The LanMaster 35 Power and Link Tester provides seven different test capabilities:
Tests network connections for IEEE 802.3af, Cisco pre-standard and non standard types of power
Conducts a power test with an actual load to verify the amount of power available
Measures Link Resistance
Identifies speed and duplex modes for 10/100/1000baseTX Ethernet Links
Provides a Port Identification function with selectable blink rates to locate which port on a hub or switch that a wall outlet is connected
Measures the cable length (only when the cable is not connected to active equipment)
Transmits a tone signal that allows the cable to be traced or a punchdown identified with the CableTracker 15 Tone Probe.
